Amorgos is the easternmost island of Cyclades. It combines adventure and romance, since you can find there not only beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters and graphic narrows, but also many paths for hiking!
To be more specific, there are many paths, which will amaze you, since the scenery you are going to experience is truly one of a kind! Aside from the magnificent paths, Amorgos is also well-known for its organized camping! So, if you love camping, Amorgos is the perfect place for you!
As for the breath-taking beaches, we mentioned above, the most famous of them is the beach of Aghia Anna, because the movie "Le Grand Bleu" was filmed there. Of course, when you are at Amorgos, you will not visit only Aghia Anna's beach, but it's also worth visiting other beaches, such as: Aegialis, which is the biggest sandy shore of the island, Mouro's beach, with its impressive rocks and the beautiful Maltezi!
The most significant place of Amorgos, is the famous Chora (meaning mainland), which is considered by many as the most beautiful town of Cyclades! It is truly worth it to wander around its astonishing and graphic alleys, that are adorned with bloomed bougainvillea and enjoy an aromatic coffee or a relaxing drink in one of the many marvelous bars, while staring at the unique architecture of this stunning region.
If you are wondering if Amorgos has any sights, we assure you that it is full of them. The two most important sights are: the impressive monastery of Hozoviotissa and the notable shipwreck!
Yep! There is an actual shipwreck. More specifically, you can find in Kato Meria of Amorgos the remains of an abandoned ship, that never set sail. Nowadays, it is an astounding and picturesque sight. Looking at it will surely captivate you.

Obviously, we can't forget food! The traditional cuisine of Amorgos is famous for its many amazing recipes. For example, no trip to Amorgos is complete, unless you taste the delicious "xerotigana" (deep fried dough with honey) or the fantastic "patatato" (baked goat with potatoes).

Keep traveling! 😉
